I snuck out of work a bit early last Thursday for an evening flight to Milan to visit some friends.  From there, it was a short drive from the airport to their home in Varese where I had some really yummy pizza (and a terrible margarita).

Apart from the weather, it was a great weekend with good food and great friends!  I had the camera in tow but due to the overcast skies and low fog it wasn’t ideal for taking photos, but I did get a few.  Going back again is definitely in the cards!

A few of us POTN folks headed out to Scotney Castle this weekend for a bit of a photo shoot.  It was a gorgeous area with a really cool Castle ruin on a small island, and the last of the autum colours will still hanging on which made for some great shooting opportunities.

At the moment, I’m really unhappy with the colour of my new monitor and have ordered a calibration tool which should get here this week.  I’ve posted the photos from the weekend already, but I will likely redo them all as they all look very dark and washed out when not viewed on my overly bright and red-casted desktop.

With Marnie on her last few weeks with the company car, we decided to head out to Cornwall for the long weekend to get away from the city and do some exploring/camping.  We managed the exploring alright, traveling at random to whatever sounded interesting on the map.  The camping part was a big soggy, and it never really feels like camping without a campfire (which you can’t do here it seems).

Anyways, as you can imagine I had my camera & tripod along for the ride and many photos were taken.  Here are a couple, and the rest are here.

I’ve got a heap of photos to post from my holiday in the Czech Republic, but here are 2 panoramas from my hotel of the Prague skyline to hold over until I get around to posting the model shots.

Mom & I went up to Oxford for the day to play the part of the happy tourists. We took the bus tour, wandered around for a bit and then ended the day with a mini pub crawl (ok, it was only 2 pubs so hardly a crawl).
